Just wait until some number-cruncher sits down and figures out how much all this 1%er spending has increased the economy and how much it lowered the unemployment rate in the last few months of the campaign. I bet there will be some puckered up faces when they realize that they collectively knocked the unemployment rate below 8%. ---

CNN Website now has Ohio at: 53% Obama 46% Romney With 35% of vote counted. This would seem to be a good sign so far. I have no idea which areas have been counted first though, and which are still to come. ---

I haven’t watched any American news channels in ages, so maybe I’m late to the game here but are the Fox anchors actually referring to the Romney campaign as “us”? ---

For example Romney is up by 4 in VA but looking at it county by county I can tell you it’s looking highly unlikely he will win. Intrade is steady at 94%. I think there is probably enough data to call the race but the networks will take their time. However I think Obama has won. ---

Obama has quite a lead in Ohio, though they are not calling it yet. It looks pretty good for the President. I think it is fascinating how variable the results can be from region to region. Romney is taking some states by big margins, and vice-versa. Some of it of course is that Obama doesn’t visit places like Texas while Romney doesn’t visit places like California, but still, I wish I had tons of time to explore these regional discrepancies. ETA: I think I might just switch to Fox for laughs ---

My map shows that if Obama wins NH, IA, CO, and NV then the results of Ohio and Florida doesn’t matter; it would be nice to be able to go to bed without worrying about the OH and FL recounts.
