in [this thread](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?threadid=34288) dropzone says general stuff about being in a clique. Monster104 indicated he wanted to be in one. Well, here is your chance, all ye who want to be in one. I’m starting it. Basically what you have to do to be in this clique is: 1. Not be an asshole 2. Be nice 3. Not be an asshole So let’s start things up . . . I want in, and since this is my clique, I am in. Anyone else? Oh yeah, we also make fun of the assholes, but that’s optional. ---

Monster104, you of course can be in the clique. I started it because I felt you deserved a group of people you could call a clique who weren’t a bunch of assholes. Welcome aboard. Kilgore Trout, you only have to take (and send me) silly topless pictures if you’re female. Otherwise no picture necessary, just don’t be an asshole (or if you must, take it to the Pit). Mamapotoumus, in my high school you knew someone was an asshole if s/he was in a clique. However, this isn’t high school, and as such all the members of this clique are, by definition not assholes. AudreyK, being “out of it” here is a good thing . . it shows a willingness to not let yourself be defined by the norms which seem to govern this society. Welcome to the official sdmb clique. ssskuggiii, you’re not an asshole. Most ofthe time you’re nice. 'Nuff said. Catrandom, you seem to be a fairly nice person with a brain that is capable of independent thought (as opposed to others on this board who shall remain nameless) so you are a member. In the future, any of y’all, as you are charter members, may officially welcome new members to our clique. I am not the president or anything . . . I just founded the thing. Nobody is more powerful than another . … there is no stratification. ---

Beatle, as I’m not wearing socks at the moment, this can’t be a sock clique. How about a “we detest ignorance” clique? We travel the grounds of wherever eradicating ignorance and dispelling ULs. And Freak, you basically have to “not be an asshole” outside the Pit. Inside, all bets are off. ---

Konrad, there are two cliques here: 1. the self-righteous 2. the ones who are just nice people and don’t need to be self-righteous. I want to be in the second. The first can go somewhere else. Smeghead, part of the deal with not being an asshole is you don’t fight outside the pit. Inside, however . . but I’m a member of the SD mafia.
