Pizza is et (Swampy is rubbing off on me). My mouth hurts because I didn’t let it cool down enough. Done my pm shift of irk. I may log in later, got to make the big bucks you know.😃 **Flytrap** the dog’s ears of course. The son can clean his own yuk. Cleaning the dog’s ears are bad enough although the son probably wouldn’t try to bite me. Now I have to try to fix the front storm door. It won’t open - as we discovered when the pizza man got here. Sah-son fiddled with it and got it to work again but now it’s stuck again. He said the lock is locking even when the button is turned to unlock. I will look at it tomorrow in the daylight. ---

I am reading the Iliad in the crummy ebook reader on my work phone. Everyone in Homer’s epic is a dick. Paris is a dick. A goddess saves him from a death duel, Helen bitches at him, and he wants to do the hokey pokey with her. Achilles is a dick. POed because Agamemnon (another dick) wants to take his woman because the gods insisted in his being ransomed. Agamemnon, you are here for nine years to rescue your Wife, not to get laid. :rolleyes: The gods are dicks. “What can we do to mess with these humans now?” Ah, the benefits of a classical education, Swampy. Mrs. Plant (v.3.0) bought a 40 gallon breeder aquarium with stand and accoutrements on Ebay. “Where can we put another forty gallon breeder? I kind of sort of bought it.” Cool! 🙂 Storm and tornado warnings. It will probably be in Georgia, the Green Dingus, tomorrow. ---

I do not remember the mouse, but I remember Murray. The retriever she adopted was named something like “Mad, Bad Murphy Morrow”, she wanted to rescue it because it was named Morrow. We named it Murray. It killed one of my cats. ---

I thought I would like it because I liked _The Odyssey_. It was pure hell. The only thing I seem to remember but I could be remembering wrong, after all it was 40 years ago :eek: two warriors come together to fight and Warrior A says to Warrior B, "I am going to kick your ass because I am so and so. son of so and so, son of so and so, son of so and so, son of some god’. Warrior B replies, ‘oh yeah! Well I am so and so, son of so and so, daughter of so and so, son of so and so, son of some other god and I’m gonna kick your ass’. Sometimes this would be repeated with the other parents linage. One can never have too many gods/goddesses in one’s background. Then they would fight until one got killed and on to the next two warriors. Pages and pages and pages of this. :rolleyes: Kind of a ‘my daddy can beat up your daddy’ combined with the begats of the Bible. When you are done with _The Iliad_ may I suggest _Dante’s Inferno_? If reading is going to be hell it may as well be about hell. ---

Hi all. Just finished doing some irk I didn’t get to yesterday or today. Finally. I was very grumpy today because people kept derailing my plans. Am tired, but not sleepy. Will read for a while (a mystery, not one of the classics). Need to figure out what to give my niece for graduation. Will probably depend on how her grades ended up. If they’re not what they should be, I don’t want to give her cash to use for what her dad won’t be giving her. I can hardly wait for her to finish growing up. She is not at a pleasant stage. At least it was very nice out tonight. Went for a walk just before sunset and it was lovely. (It was very hot and muggy in the middle of the day. Hugs all. GT ---

Good evening everFyone. It’s morning for me but you know how it goes. I’m up and around, and feeling gNood. I woke up on my own at 8pm after a good solid 8 hours of sleep. I listenOed to some music in bed for a while, then got up and ran a 5k in 26:40 which is good for me! That’s 7mph straight without slowing down or stRopping. So I’m pretty proud of myself, since just a few months ago I couldn’t even make it 2 miles at 6mph without taking breaks. I then walked another 5k while watching The Golden Girls. Good times. Ate some heaDlthy food for breakfast (avoided the hashbrowns, biscuits & gravy, etc, in favor of eggs, chicken and brusselsprouts). Had a protein shake and now I’m ready to sit on my ass for the rest of the day with no work to do. I love my job 🙂 ---
