I hope your plans for the summer include a lot more time spent “feeding baby, cleaning baby, mooning over baby, etc.” than time spent _having_ the baby. Three months having a baby might be a bit much. ---

Today will largely be laundry and making DH’s breakfast stuff (Bisquick batter with some form of meat (likely sausage this time), cheese, and some vegetable (probably shredded carrot this time around), bake, carve into serving chunks, reheat as desired). ---

In other news, he had to take FMLA to rush over to Sequim again yesterday. Both his mom and dad are old and very fragile. They have a live-in caregiver, but her medical training is limited. If it isn’t an obvious 911 call, he goes over to make sure they’re ok. He dad is very ill, he’s been in ICU several times in the last couple months. Mom has Parkinson’s as well as respiratory issues. She also gets UTIs frequently and ends up getting a big, red, bus ride. I know one or both of them is probably going to die soon, likely, before the end of the year. I doubt the one left behind will last long. They’ve been married 65 in August. The family has a huge party planned, I hope it happens. Sorry, I’m feeling very sad and frustrated that I can’t help. They only have a small folding bed and we just can’t afford a hotel every week. I guess I also feel abandonded, then I feel guilty for that. I just needed to vent a little. ---

'm back from camping. Sleepy tired- apparently my sleeping bag isn’t really good enough to deal with cold any more, so I just compromised by not going to bed til about dawn most nights 😃 Plus it was a 6 hour drive home, by myself, with no car stereo… Was fun though- nice people, lots of board games, pretty field full 'o buttercups, and plenty of miscellaneous booze. I’ve got some hugs, yays sri lankan spiders and stuff for those what needs 'em, but they’re probably still in the car along with my camping gear and brain. I think early bed is probably in order. G’night! ---

**nuts** you should at least go retrieve your brain from the car lest the Sri Lankan spiders eat it. :eek: I did go back to the cee-mint pond for a bit after OYKW got all showered and decided to head for his place. Now I’m in for the evenin’ and all showered and cleanded up. I et such a big ol’ N.O.L. that I’m not hongry so no dindin plans. If’n that should happen ‘twill be sump’n like a PBJ. I did yank some skettie sauce outta da freezer and have some ground beast thawin’ to make into meatballs for tomorrow. Went ahead and made a sallit even. Go Me! Thus endeth the three day weekend. Irk beckons tomorrow. ---

My idea of roughing it is dial-up Internet. 😃 I have several skinned knuckles and a case of the crankies with DH right now (trust me, today the D does NOT mean “dear”). Staple guns make my hands ache, so does cutting hardware cloth. At least the patio is secured so the Princess can go out again without her human worrying too much about further escapes. The reason I’m cranky at DH over this? I’ve been trying to get him to do this task since we moved into this apartment eleven months ago. His hands are stronger, so the cutting and stapling wouldn’t have been so painful for him, and he might have managed to complete the project without shedding blood.
