The earliest one I remember was Super Suds from 40s radio.

Also from Saturday morning 40s radio:

Cream of wheat is so good to eat that we have it every day  
It makes us strong so we sing this song and makes us shout hooray  
It’s good for growing children and grown ups too to eat  
For all the families breakfast you can’t beat Cream of Wheat

In my circle of **ahem** friends, we sang “leper” instead of “pepper.”
