Even when I listened to metal I could never stomach most hair metal bands, especially Winger but when I heard the song “Down Incognito” I found myself wondering, “How did this guy screw up and make a good song?”
Rob Zombie/White Zombie’s music bored me, but I like Rob’s attitude toward his fame and career path in music. He said in an interview I read once that he had no problem playing only his old songs for fans if he winds up on the “oldies circuit” twenty years down the line. If that’s what they were paying to hear, then who was he to argue.

I never cared much for Metallica’s music, but their stand on piracy was dead on and they showed a lot of courage to stand up for their rights.

I’m not a fan of the commercialized, hook-laden, pop that she performs, but I think Jennifer Lopez is a beautiful woman and that her ass is spectacularly, wonderfully, incredibly, aboslutely, fine.

Henry Rollins - a hypocritical self-righteous asshole on a pedestal but “Liar” is so fucking awesome he’s almost forgiven
Perry Farrel - Same as Rollins but he’s in the band that wrote “Three Days” so he could be a puppy-killing old-woman molester and he’d be forgiven
RHCP - Same sound as fifteen years ago, try to be perpetual fratboys with cocksocks etc. but then again…Mother’s Milk
Rap - as in like the whole genre…please bring back Erik B and Rakim…it’s your only hope

Bwahahahahahahahahahahahahah! I just spit Mountain Dew all over my monitor. However, keeping with the topic…As much as I hate the Dead, they were the first band to develop sound systems so that the whole audience could hear the show. Before them, if you weren’t in the front rows, you weren’t going to hear anything but the screams of the audience.

Hey now! Don’t be hatin’ the Dead! Are you just jealous because you can’t play guitar like Jerry did, or write lyrics like Robert Hunter?
I just went to a Dead show in Ohio, and the opening act was Bob Dylan. Bob Freakin’ Dylan! I mean, you have to be pretty good to have Bob Dylan as your opening act.
On the way back, we stopped at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and I got to see the Great Garcia’s guitars.
