That article is certainly plausible. Every type of audience has potential customers just waiting to get spammed with ads, even the online quibblers. How hard would it be to attract them? A bot could generate inane headline stories that are bound to attract the attention of bitchy web surfers, and ads targeted to their collective tastes that last for 15 seconds until the link resolves gives them pent-up energy for more online venting. Just like Pavlov’s rats in a maze, to quote John Madden. ---
