It’s the Onion! If any of these phrases were uttered during the debate, it was entirely coincidental. And, given the phrases, highly unlikely (“no way I’m winning this thing” - really?). Sometimes a joke is just a joke. ---

The phrase “good kind of abortion” was discussed in the context of rape-and-incest exceptions for anti-abortion laws (or maybe it had to do with exceptions to save the mother’s life). I don’t remember if the phrase was used supportively or sarcastically. I’m sure Huckabee said something like “fetus killing fields”. They did have a lot of discussion about abortion and when a human life begins, but I don’t even see the word “fetus” in the transcript. (I’m looking at the [WaPo transcript](http://www.washingtonpost.com/news/post-politics/wp/2015/08/06/annotated-transcript-the-aug-6-gop-debate/) now, which doesn’t mention if it’s their own transcript.) Trump definitely said “I hope no women are watching” or something like that when Megyn Kelly asked him about the misogynistic things he said. Several of the candidates talked explicitly about the need to build our military back up, but I can’t find “bigger military” in the script, with or without the word “chunkier”. Somebody said “No way I’m winning this thing” in the context of some hypothetical (I think it was Trump). Maybe The Onion is messing with my brain (or all our brains?) by re-arranging fragments of phrases that were said, to form phrases that were never said. But there are even individual words in that cloud (“fetus”, “corpse”) that aren’t in the transcript. Yes, please, **davidm** , let us know if you find any of those phrases _or anything more-or-less like them._ Can I have hallucinated all the same stuff that The Onion hallucinated? :smack: ---

By the way, is there a higher resolution image of the Onion cloud out there somewhere? I can’t even read some of the smaller items. ---

Right click -\> View Image -\> Ctrl+ repeatedly to enlarge it as much as you need (at least that works with Firefox). Maybe I’ll watch it with the transcript in front of me to see what, if anything, has been altered. It would be fun to catch Fox dishonestly editing the transcript, although if there are any major differences I’m sure that fact would be all over the web by now. ---

If the OP knew that the Onion article wasn’t true (duh!) why is this thread still in Elections? Shouldn’t it be in MPSIMS or the Pit? ---

The size of “Pillage” should have been a clue, along with, “I hope no women are watching,” and the mere existence of, “I stand with the president,” at readable size. But props for phrasing the OP such to make us look! ---

Just saw [this article](http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3190115/There-blood-coming-Donald-Trump-astonishing-personal-attack-Fox-host-Megyn-Kelly-clash-war-women.html) in the Daily Mail, about Trump’s shit-talking to and about Megyn Kelly, showing a picture of Kelly with some audience behind her. Clearly two blacks in the audience there in that photo. ---

**Senegoid** , if this is not one of the finest whooshings I’ve beheld, then you offer an example of the issue of unrealiability of eyewitnesses. You heard answers and questions containing sentences and phrases that seemed to you to _mean_ “the good kind of abortion” or “I hope no women are listening”, yet those were not the sounds actually imparted onto the air molecules in the room. But it was what was left imprinted in your memory. (As mentioned, there WAS a reference to “siamese twins” but that was Carson using an example from his surgical experience.) ---
