I know. But Burlew had to know that boards like this would immediately fill up with speculations on how Elan lost his eye.
Heh. You should see the threads on the GitP site forum…
[OOTS #504](http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0504.html) Finally get to see what V has been up to. I’m assuming that she’s supposed to be exhausted, not that she’s supposed to have two black eyes.
Vaarsuvius doesn’t need sleep, so it must be general mental exhaustion and stress. ---
_“…I was supposed to mention that first, wasn’t I?”_ How can you not enjoy this strip?
I can’t not enjoy it. But my enjoyment is tempered somewhat by the comparative slowness of erfworld updates on the same site. ---

> [@](#): > > But my enjoyment is tempered somewhat by the comparative slowness of erfworld updates on the same site. One thing I found is how much more I got out of Erfworld when I reread the series. The first time I got caught up in the bizarre settings and characters. But when I went back and read it through a second time I caught a lot of subtler stuff I had overlooked the first time through. ---

Oh, easily. But I’ve been through the whole thing about three or four times, and spending a week looking at “Parson’s klog, Page 7” gets a little wearying. ETA: enough hijack. The latest installment of OOTS has Elan at his best. Stirring, inspirational, and dumb as a post. ---

[Finally!](http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0506.html) sheesh. Billy goats, heh. The gods help us all, indeed. ---

> [@](#): > > They went and got themselves another villain behind my back, those two-timing jerks. I thought we had a quest that was special, but they’re off having their deaths planned by some OTHER evil mastermind. Classic. And I love Elan’s half-orc admirer (“We’re flanking together!”) Looking forward to what we’re going to see next. > **[510 Killer View - Giant in the Playground Games](https://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0510.html)** ---

[New OotS](http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0512.html), finally. I suspect we’re seeing Redcloak’s deft hand in planning there. Definitely not Xykon’s. ---
