…Y’know, [Nader’s bane?](http://www.vex.net/~guru/corvair/aots/cut1960.gif) The car that was “unsafe at any speed”? The one car forged personally by Lucifer?

Well, maybe not that last one. But you know that car I’m talking about.

Anyone?

Well, I own one, and if nobody answers by tomorrow, I’ll measure it for you. It’s about what I’d consider a standard length, not a volkswagon bug, and not an SUV, somewhere in the middle. Maybe a slight bit on the long side.

It is a bit wide though, considering it looks and feels like a sports car.

Why the interest in length?

Man, I can’t count the death-defying adventures I’ve had with that car. The brakes have gone out twice, got stuck in fourth gear once on a long trip, have had countless issues. The good news is that almost every time it broke, I was able to fix it where it was myself. None of this modern stuff under the hood.

Love that car.

Per this web site: [Corvair](http://www.vex.net/~guru/corvair/icbg/icbg1b.htm) the overall length was 180 inches with a wheelbase of 108 inches. Dimensions did not change from 1960 to 1964.

Modeling work, for a little art project of mine. I was going to craft “Sculpy” over a couple of Matchbox cars to create some cheapo Corvair and Ford Pinto miniatures.

BTW, thanks for the info, all!
