Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. _YAWN_ ‘Tis 53 Amurrkin out and clear with a predicted high of 75 for the day and sunny. A balmy Turkey Day! Tom (or Tomassina bein’ as I did not ascertain the gender) is in the roaster oven. Later on this mornin’ I shall bake the dressin’, bake rolls, make gravy, and warm up the collards. Folks arrive elevenish for drinks and horse ovaries. The feast will be around one this afternoon and hopefully we’ll be rid of everyone by four. Company is great, both comin’ and goin’. 😃 **Luci** no worries. This place thrives on TMI. OK, I need more caffeine and rumbly tummy is demandin’ sustenance. My bladder woke me at 4, but I resisted the urge to get up and be productive (see, I made a joke!!!) and I crawled back under the covers once my duty was done. \*\*FCD \*\*got up with Higgs at 5, fed her, then came back to bed. I just got up at 7 because I was dreaming that I had to pee, and I definitely did, but not in the bed, so whew! 😃 My teeth are brushed and I’m in my fuzzy robe caffeinating myself while my sweetie sleeps on. After I finish my surfing routine, I’ll make the punkin pies. That’s pretty much all I have planned for today. Since I have been _told_ that no I can’t sit around all day in a tshirt and sweat pants, I suppose I should go purtify. I still say why not cause everybody comin’ knows I’m a slob. 😃 ---

Since I got a dachshund several years ago I’ve been collecting wiener dog things. Recently I got a sweatshirt and a t-shirt from a high school in Frankfort, Indiana. The high school teams are called “The Hotdogs” Here’s an image. Happy Thorsday! Happy Thanksgiving Day! It’s a sunny 48 degrees outside, going into the 50’s today. It’s a bit toasty in here, the new furnace works real well. I feel like hell this am. I was up and down all night. **MetalMouse** lucky you. My two favorite breeds of dogs. I had a mastiff years ago, fantastic dog. I had a basset mix, he was different. I did some pet sitting for a few basset mixes as well. I love them to death but they are a bit too stubborn. I think chicken for dinner tonight. Sah-son will probably eat pizza, he loves pizza. ---

I remember the Hot Dogs, **baker**! My school never played them, but every few years there would be a blurb in the paper. How is Nathan doing? **luci** , not much is beyond the pale here in the MMP. I can sympathize with you though; I worked on the dementia wing of a nursing home in my younger days. **metal mouse** , have you gotten the Bassett to singwith you yet? 🙂 I just finished a late, hardy breakfast since dinner won’t be until three. ---

On December 17th we will celebrate our fifth anninversary! Can you believe it’s been that long? I still get a pang when I think of the little doxie who preceded him, but I’m at peace about that now. Nathan loves to chase squirrels into the trees at the dog park. Then he stands sentry at the trunk of the tree and whines. Now that leaves are down on the trees it’s easier for him to spot the furry tailed rats up there. Sometimes the squirrels even race along the ground, from the fence into the trees. Nathan has never quite caugt one but he’s come close. ---
