I know there were quite a few Dopers who were following Molly the Barn Owl (original [thread](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=556278) from March 2010); I found out about her and her family here. Unfortunately, there has been some bad news. McGee (the daddy owl) and their fourth clutch are all gone, and Molly is alone. ☹ Details can be found in the blog, [here](http://mollysbox.wordpress.com/blog/). I’m sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but I thought people would want to know. ---

So sad. I got an alert about it last night and the shock hasn’t worn off yet. ---
