Temps are in the middle 20s here this morning. If the sun comes up and it thaws a bit, Iā€™ll tend to the leaves today. But not till later. Higgs raised a ruckus about 4 this AM, and we chose to ignore her. Amazingly, she quieted down, and we fell back to sleep. I got up a bit after 6 because apparently I was finished sleeping. \*\*FCD \*\*is enjoying his day off. He likes his new job, except for the getting up and going part - he got used to sleeping in, then futzing in his shop all day. I believe thatā€™s his plan for today. šŸ˜ƒ But he does like being a non-manager and just doing design stuff. The govā€™t contractor world is somewhat incestuous and he found out from a coworker who used to work for another company that \*\*FCD \*\*was a sub-contractor to (no, really, it makes sense) - anyway, a design my sweetie did some years back is now being installed on a buttload of Navy ships. Not that his name appears anywhere associated with the work or the analysis - apparently what he submitted to the prime contractor was repackaged on their letterhead and submitted to the Navy that way. But no matter - my sweetie done good! šŸ˜ƒ Ziva has been getting really friendly these days. Several times this week when I was in the afghaning position, she joined me, along with Higgs and Taz. If we had any more critters, Iā€™d run out of space on the recliner! Ziva is funny, tho. Sheā€™ll purr and happy dance and let me give her skritches, and when sheā€™s had enough, she takes her money and goesā€¦ OK, no money changes hands, but she still comes off like a hooker cat. Kindly refrain from making the obvious jokesā€¦ šŸ˜› In summary - yard work today, dinner out tonight, no wolverine burgers! (\*\*Daaaaaaaaad \*\*made me giggle.) ---

Good Morninā€™ Yā€™all! Up and caffienatinā€™. _YAWN_ 'Tis 68 Amurrkin out with a predicted high of 65 for the day and sunny. No big plans for the day. I shall make dindin for JDD and Partner this eveninā€™. In a little while I shall make up a beastloaf and let it mellow in da fridge until time to bake. Everything else is pretty basic and wonā€™t take long to make. Seriously. Thatā€™s the biiiiiiiiiiig plan for the day. OYKW mentioned a need to go to :eek:Wally\*World:eek: today. I foresee that beinā€™ a solo trip for him. Heā€™s a big boy and can do that unsupervised. Ok thatā€™s all I got. I need more caffiene and need to feed rumbly tummy. I think I might wait until OYKW joins the land of the awake. Or not. Iā€™m all willy-nilly like that. Happy Sattidy Yā€™all! ---

I wish I had some beer. Yes, itā€™s only 8:45 in the morning. But Iā€™ve been sober for a year and I donā€™t want to relapse. Feeling bummed this morning. Most of it boils down to people not answering their goddamn messages. Come on, people. Answer your goddamn messages. ---

I have made brekkie and purtified. Not to shabby for a Sattidy morninā€™. šŸ˜ƒ OYKW has gone off to brave :eek:Wally\*World:eek:. I am about to make up a beastloaf. I think I shall also make up the mac 'n cheese while Iā€™m at it just to get it done. After all that, nappage may be required. ---

The USPS delivered my box oā€™glasses this morning at 7AM!!! Iā€™m guessing they send one truck with boxes separate from the regular mail delivery. Anyway, Iā€™ve finally gotten them, and while theyā€™re nice, theyā€™re not as big as Iā€™d hoped. And one of them has a big flaw in it - Libby will be getting an email with a photo from me. Maybe theyā€™ll send me a coupon! šŸ˜ƒ We went to breakfast in Leonardtown and I ran into a former coworker who managed to transfer to the base in our county. He was so relieved to have gotten out of there for a variety of reasons - internal politics being the biggie. It was funny to run into him - for some reason, I was thinking about him the other day, and there he was! \*\*FCD \*\*is running to Loweā€™s for a hunk of foam and a battery for our John Deere - itā€™s dead dead dead. It wouldnā€™t even start when hooked to the charger. So I canā€™t run the mulcher/vac till he gets that taken care of. Meanwhile, itā€™s above freezing, so thereā€™s that. And since I forgot to say it in my earlier post - Happy Saturday!! ---

Haha, thank you, **Spiderman**. šŸ™‚ Anyone want to have more beers for me? Working on music arrangements. There is so much music in the world, I wonā€™t have time to arrange it all. ā€œMusic is enough for a lifetime, but a lifetime is not enough for music.ā€ - Rachmaninov. ---

There are US products; Near Beer that has no alcohol, and Pearl, a beer that after extensive experimentation, I determined had very little alcohol in it.
