Though I also believe it’s _not_ legal in this state to have a public gas station open w/o an attendant on duty (who is a trained professional in how to press the ‘_emergency stop_’ button! :rolleyes:) ---

I do not remember purchasing toiletries and cleaning supplies but I must have as it was in my haul. Hairbrushes, moisturizer, all good stuff. Way more stuff than I’d thought. Must have been drunk. ---

I need to get an assignment done that is due tonight, at 11:55pm. It involves PowerPoint (with an assigned topic I do not give a rodent’s rump about), recording audio into same (and I hate the sound of my voice. Hearing a recording of myself always makes me wonder how anyone can stand to be anywhere near me when I speak), then converting the result to a video and uploading it. This assignment is ridiculous. Half the class doesn’t know anything about PowerPoint, some only have access to PP or audio equipment on campus and may not have time to get to the lab, and the whole thing is taking an absurd amount of outside-class time. Either the professor is unaware her students have other classes/jobs/families/church commitments/other life activities outside her project demands, or she doesn’t care. Even using language that would get me a mod hammer in the Pit cannot adequately express my utter loathing for this assignment. I need to get past the mental block and record the damn audio soon. Help! ---

Happy Moanday! Worked. All meetings cancelled. It was…odd. Then at 1:45 Sunny-son’s school called. Short version, he clocked a kid on the playground and he’ll be staying home tomorrow. The autism causes the strangest hiccups. I’m pretty sure all kids occasionally lose their cool and belt other kids on the playground, but it lasts longer with autism, from what I can tell. SS lost it during a game of dodgeball after he mocked another kid’s poor aim. Kid 2 responded with something like, “oh yeah, get him guys” and SS got pelted with available dodgeballs until he was out. So he walked over and hit Kid 2. Suspended. Husband’s in Vegas. MIL is here. I am soooooo lucky. :rolleyes: ---

My sweetie has decided his work hours will be 7-3:30. So he’s on his way and I’m breakfasting. My day will consist of such adventures as changing the sheets on the bed, getting my driver’s license, picking up my sweetie’s meds refills, and possibly even running to WalMart to get my preferred body wash before I run out. Supper will be chickie noodle soup, or maybe chickie-n-dumplins. I got the last sack o’ homemade broth out of the freezer to thaw - I’ve got time to figure it out. Today is our anniversary and, romantics that we are, we have no plans. Maybe this weekend we’ll go to the Japanese Steak House, which was a sorta tradition that we started up 8 years ago and skipped last year. I know my family thinks we’re nuts, but we pretty much don’t bother about our anniversaries. They were totally gobsmacked that our 25th went without a party or anything. What do they expect, when our “wedding” was the 2 of us with 2 unknown witnesses in front of a notary at a bookkeeping office, followed by McD’s drive-thru before going back to work. Ah, yes, romance… 😉 Luckily, it works for both of us. 😃 Happy Tuesday! ---

Happy Toosday! I wrote a Happy Moonday post but it went poof and I have enough bs to deal with to bother about poofing posts. It’s cold, wet, rainy, grey, outside. Yesterday was friggin’ cold. I’ve been at my mothers since Sunday night since I had an early Dr appt yesterday. Dr appt Thorsday went well, he cleared me to go off the blood thinners long enough to have surgery. Then he scheduled me for a stress test. Yesterdays Dr says when we get the results of the stress test we will schedule an appointment with the anesthesiologist and then schedule a day for surgery. I am not looking forward to any of this.
