Price is Right fans will enjoy this documentary about a mega fan.

From the Youtube description - Perfect Bid: The Contestant Who Knew Too Much is the thrilling, award-winning documentary from CJ Wallis about a math genius from Texas named Ted Slauson who spent the majority of his life memorizing the prize amounts on The Price Is Right. The film explores how Ted went from bidding to banned, and reveals his part in a 2008 perfect bid Showcase scandal that was covered in Esquire, Time Magazine & others.

It’s free to watch on Youtube. I can’t get the Youtube link to post here. It’s also on Netflix.

Updating this post to note that on today’s episode, a contestant in the showcase showdown won both showcases by guessing _exactly one dollar_ under the actual amount. Drew Carey noted it came with “absolutely no help from anybody in the audience," an obvious reference to the Terry Kneiss “perfect bid” episode.

> Carey declared Patrice Masse's win "the best Showcase bid in Price Is Right history"—which might be him throwing shade at at least one past winner
