How come…pardon me, how does it come to pass that there are [tigers and piranha](http://img159.imageshack.us/my.php?image=TrystwithDestiny-06.jpg) in Africa?

Two reasons: Eden Isle was privately and artificially stocked with animals who had the carnivore instinct bred out of them. Also, Bangalla’s location has never been explicitly revealed, and it may be closer to New Guinea than Africa. The character is in fact ridiculously popular in New Guinea, where he is used to hawk peanut products (“Planta Pinat”).
