52-13 now according to [NFL.com](http://NFL.com). Damn – perhaps even the Cowpokes can’t find a way to lose this one (as per their usual pattern). Considering the last couple of seasons, though – they just need to ditch **both** of those QBs and draft a good one. ---

Whew! Thanks, **Monstre** - for a second there, I thought the menfolk of the SDMB were intimidated by a female talking about football. Heh. On the QB thing, though - Carter did OK tonight, yes? We’ll have to wait and see if the rookies step up… I work in Valley Ranch (Irving, TX) right by the Cowboys training camp, and a HUGE indoor football field was erected (in about 5 days) across the street from my office building. I haven’t heard a word about it from the press - but I have to assume it will be the new training/practice facility. ---

I hear you, man. 53-13 was the final score in the 'Boys last pre-season game. I’ve lived in this damn town all my life, so I yearn for the days when I wasn’t ashamed of the team. JJ’s plastic surgery turned out pretty good, though, dontchathink? ---

Nice score – hope that is a positive sign for the season to come. Was glad to see Emmitt hit the all time rushing record last year – at least one high point to the season. ---

The Cowboys looked much better this week than last. 😉 The question is, can they be successful without Emmitt? In related news, Jeff Blake went down with a concussion. They apparently pulled Emmitt early because of this. I wonder is his shoulders are big enough to carry the Cards. ---

yeah, well… grats on beatin’ my boys from Oaktown… and not just beating them… but Beating them DOWN! ('course we all know it doesn’t mean anything) I hate the Cowboys _because_ of that “America’s Team” garbage. The worst thing to tell a 5-6 year-old baby’Beast is “this is America’s team… you _have_ to like them!” and good luck with that whole Quincy Carter / Troy Hambrick thing. I got to believe if they are the best you got… you got troubles, long haul. ---

PRE SEASON!!! Any cowboy fan knows that poor performance in pre season is indicative of a good regular season. Jezus! are you guys TRYING to jinx it? Next you’ll be cheering when they wear the BLUE JERSEYS! seriously though, they looked good? ---
