I can’t resist wondering what’s the point of that thread. But I’ll ask here in a separate thread lest it would be outright threadshitting to ask in that thread. (At eleven pages, I don’t even remember now if I did too. I remember posting a snippet of “White Bird” somewhere recently.) (NOT to be confused with the separate thread started today, [Hell visits the Pacific Northwest (fire thread)](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=835605), in which people really ARE seeing fire and some rain, with lots of smoke as well.) ---
