# The political rage that I feel is eating me up

It’s very difficult for me to take formerly reasonable arguments seriously _when the last sitting US President literally attempted a self-coup – the overthrow of the legitimately elected US government._

I feel like every conversation around Trump II needs to start off with a single question: did Trump try to affect a [**self-coup**](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Self-coup) in the last quarter of 2020 and in January 2021?

Hint: he did.
