Hmm, it seems question #1 was rather ambiguous. Was the question to name the food (“Pizza”, “Taco”, “Curry”) or the ethnicity (“Mexican”, “Chinese”)? 'Cause “Mexican” isn’t a food, unless you’re a cannibal. (True funny story: my Dad, when a recent immigrant from Taiwan, was alarmed by repeated suggestions from a coworker that they “eat Chinese for lunch”.) I’m rather stunned pizza isn’t the runaway winner. I think it’s because in most of the US, pizza is so mainstream it’s not got any ethnic connotations any more, while around where I live, pizza parlors are most definitely ethnically Italian, run by guys who actually speak Italian (or Sicilian, for that place that makes Sicilian pizza). ---
