Am I the only person that thinks the current Presidential Limo looks like a hearse? That’s my problem with the car. At least let the Pimp my ride guys give it a paint job and some nice rims. ---

Jesus Christ, **Yeticus** , if you simply must be a partisan hack asshole, could you at least be the sort of partisan hack asshole who doesn’t repeat, regardless of how obliquely, the “Al Gore invented the internet” lie? And assuming that Loven was even a journalist at the time of Gore’s trip, it wouldn’t have made a great deal of sense for her to write about an isolated trip in terms of fuel consumption, because fuel prices were not at record highs at the time, thus the angle wasn’t there. Also, “a Democrat did it too” is the lamest fucking defense _ever_. To the nitwits revving up the phony outrage on both sides of this bullshit Pit thread, get the fuck over it. ---

As I always enjoy pointing out, I have a friend who used to work with some of the guys who DID “invent” (not what Gore said) the internet, or at least the basic concept software and so forth. And they all agreed that, yes, Gore actually DID “create” (what Gore did say) the internet as we know it: he was the one going to bat for them in the Senate to make it a reality. They didn’t understand what the controversy over his statement was. But then, being secluded geeks, they probably weren’t aware of how full of shit conservative pundits are. ---

Look, **Otto** …“invention” was in quotes…tongue-in-cheek… :rolleyes: They (Present and Recent Past Presidents & Cabinets) are all gas guzzlers…Pub & Dems, I don’t care how much a gallon of gas costs. My non-partizan self likes to point out that both sides do it, not just Evil Bush. That’s not an excuse, that’s a fact. If anything, Loven is the partizan hack, not me. You might be right that she wasn’t around to jump on Al’s case at that time, but nothing was stopping her from comparing Bush to other wasters of the precious in past presidencies…maybe except her own partizanship.
