**lno** thanks for the simpleton pork recipe! When I get a crock pot, I’ll try it. I have a feeling that it will be acceptable in the home due to the mass amount of bbq sauce - I mean how will they be able to distinguish the dreaded pork under all that slather? **Ethilrist** the concoction advised was supposed to make a brine type of solution which would somehow imbue juicy tenderness to the meat. It just made it taste really bad. ---

My parents won’t allow uncured pork in the house! _sulks_ They claim it’s because when they were first married, Mom tried making a pork roast and gave both of them food poisoning. She tried again, and the same thing happened, whereupon they decided to ban pork. However, **I** am a reasonably competent cook. QB: Hey look, Mom, doesn’t that recipe for pork chops look good? MOM: Forget it, hon. QB: But how else am I going to learn to cook pork? MOM: You can live without it. QB: _pouts_ I’m sure I can make it not only healthy, but tasty! Pleeeeease? MOM: I said, forget it! Arrgh. Fortunately, she will allow ham and bacon. ---
