I hasten to reassure Dopers concerned with **WierdDave’s** mental health and well-being that the utter absence of a sense of humor is not, necessarily, a symptom of Cognitive Dissonance (the number one threat to our Republic). I can only hope that Tucker, that most remarkably canny creature, is given ample opportunity to pass his genetic advantages along to future generations. Not that I support a program of doggy eugenics, just that I think such a splendidly acute judge of character should have ample opportunities to shag a shitzu, boink a poodle, and _chinga_ a chihuahua. Tell Tucker that his **Uncle e.** sends a well-chewed and slobbered tennis ball of affection! ---

I suppose, maybe. But keep in mind that to the tone-deaf, the _Ode to Joy_ sounds like a drum solo. Please consider the possibility that you are the only person (thus far) to react as though **Stoid** (who bears a remarkable resemblance to Elvira, Mistress of the Dark) were intent on having her dog’s opinion taken seriously. I mean, really, **Dave** , you honestly didn’t get it? Hell, the woman is damn near as smart as _me_! Cultivate humor, lad. Some Mark Twain, some P.G. Wodehouse, some Bill Hicks, some Richard Pryor. Its good for you, better than diets, vitamins, and yoga put together. I don’t mean you’ll necessarily live longer. I mean its good for your soul, and that’s what counts.
