It’s kind of funny now to go to a wedding or similar and see the number of young women all dolled up who cannot walk in the not-too-radical heels they’re wearing. Funny in a good way in that it demonstrates heels are rapidly becoming not part of many young women’s collective experience. It’s also funny how many of them look positively uncomfortable in dresses they selected for the occasion. Not uncomfortable as in ill-fitting or excessively immodest. Uncomfortable as in “These clothes are not part of my image of me”. Kinda like I, a non-Scotsman, might feel wearing a kilt.
