# The rants go Marching one by one (Monthly Mini-Rants)

I started a thread about my landlord installing new washing machines [The Incompetence Of My Landlord](https://boards.straightdope.com/t/the-incompetence-of-my-landlord/960073)

Today, I finally used them (I have a lot of clothes and have done laundry at a friend’s while staying the weekend). It used to be $1.50 for the washer and $1 for the dryer. It is now $1.75 for the washer and $1.50 for the dryer. Of course, there was no notice from management about the increase.
