Last year (during El Nino) temperatures in india rose into the fifties (Celsius!), which killed loads of people.

Also, some scientists corelate the rising temparatures with the increase in thunderstorms (also in the US, of course).
So build a good house with a good roof if you don’t mind higher temperatures. What you save in heating in winter you will pay for AC in summer. And … no snowmen and no white chrismas any more. And no wheat from Texas/Kansas any more, perhaps? Higher temperatures means drier soil, after all.
And … who knows what else. Nobody knows all the consequences - we are just starting to guess.
