Ok real legitimate rant. You wanted to be in the golf tournament, you said you did. You need a ride. I am not going, (because I’m too poor) but I agreed to give you a ride. "Cause Im a good sport like that. Why the fuck aren’t you ready? Do not blame me for us getting there late. You were having a shower when I got there, one hour before the start of the event. You my friend were the cause of all the lateness. Oh and you aren’t my friend, you are someone for whom I am doing a favour. ---

To the military assholes on the train yesterday: Yes, we know you are all heroes and that butter wouldn’t melt in your fucking mouths. It doesn’t give you license to act like total assholes when you’re out in public. Harassing that woman was way out of line, and if it was 20 years ago or so, when I was still active duty, I’d have taken you all to task for it. Enjoy your next tour in Afghanistan, assholes. ---

If he did, then he broke the Seal of the Confessional and could be disciplined by the diocese. If he “only” gave an opinion based on his experience with her as a parishioner, then he’s in the clear as far as the Church goes. It’s still pretty assholish, barring Jeneva’s mother having done something really bad at some time, which I’m not assuming. If it’s just about Jeneva’s mother holding pro-choice or non-homophobic beliefs, or supporting ordination of women or something like that, it’s definitely a lousy thing to do. ---

Well, this is something I never thought I’d say to someone I like, but…I hope you get stabbed in the back really soon 🙂 Honestly, I hope your surgery happens quickly and that it there is enough knife spinning and such to be sure that you don’t have to do it again. As to the ferals, they are why I’m in rescue. Everyone wants to foster the cute, cuddly ones. Hissy, spitty, wants to eat my face off cats deserve a chance as well. The teenagers from my other thread went out to yard sales and brought me 9 carriers. They also have a wonderful oak bookcase that won’t fit through their door. Runs out the front door waving money. I’ll just take that off your hands… ---

If it were me, I would definitely be reporting the priest. It is DEFINITELY a violation of trust, and abuse of power, and all sorts of nasty things unbecoming of someone who’s meant to be a spiritual advisor. I don’t know what, if anything, she plans to do about it. ---

I can’t imagine that anything she’s ever done would be grounds for being ejected from the preschool staff, though I can imagine that some belief or principle that she holds might seem “unsavoury” enough (those are MASSIVE sarcasm quotes, by the way) that someone MIGHT consider her less than perfect for the role based on their own beliefs. All I know for sure is that the children loved her, and the other teachers and previous owner loved her, and her loss will be deeply felt. Previous owner couldn’t do without her, in fact, and was dependent on her to an annoying degree at times. I hope the new one has someone fan-fucking-tastic lined up as her replacement, or the school will certainly be suffering. It doesn’t help that **Parkhead** and I are both unemployed at the moment as well, so I can’t even help her out until she finds something new. Curse this wretched economy – both of them. ---

It’s not so much that I notice feeling better on a day to day basis, but I’m no longer subject to random 8+ hour bouts of crippling pain. As soon as the Doc figured out what the problem was I was ready to go under the knife. I took the very first surgeon’s appointment available, asked for his very first surgical slot, and told him to call if he had any cancellations. Diagnosis to surgery was \<2 weeks and even that seemed to take forever. ---

Yesterday I decided that I was going to work on retooling my eating habits and plan my meals out in advance to make it easier to not gain weight while working at my (relatively new) job. I go out to get stuff for the week so I can make a bunch of lunches, and as I’m checking out, the bagger asks me “when’s the baby due?” while putting my groceries in my reusable bag. I turn over to her, and say in the most pleasant voice I can muster, “I’m not pregnant.” _ **I gave no indication that I was pregnant. How the fuck is it okay to inquire about my fatness as if I’m pregnant? I don’t look pregnant, I’ve just got a fat gut.** _ If she hadn’t immediately fallen over herself apologizing, I would’ve asked her why she felt it appropriate to inquire about a pregnancy I didn’t tell her about. The icing on the cake for all this is that I’m bloated from having my period, so I’m feeling even more self-conscious about the way I look today.
