Well, paying off a witness/victim lends some credence to a charge. (I know, I know, such a great person has better things to do than go to court, so he can afford to pay, etc…). I believe that it is at least rational for 50 percent of people to believe that it is a tacit admission, since I believe that 50 percent of the rational people would not pay extortion. Didn’t MJ pay his accuser to not pursue the case? Could be wrong, though. hh ---
