Yeah, the first time I saw that video, my first thought was, “You ARE aware that that bear could slap your stupid head clean OFF without all that much effort, right?” ---

He was sticking a selfie stick between the steps. But he was still really unclear on the balance of power. That bear could have gotten him easily. If it had gone out the side it could have been over that rail in a flash. It’s lucky for him that the camera scared the bear so much. It must have thought it was an eye, and this was some new creature, it was plainly terrified. ---

Was the bear using that space as a den for winter? I would have never approached that bear. Too scary for me. ---

You wouldn’t have got me in there with a fifty foot selfie stick. I admit it’s some great footage, but talk about risky.
