Yeah was gonna say, there’s likely a number of blokes about that countryside who have taken the _real_ course in How to Not Be Seen. Also, there’s a reason it’s minor news when Chucks, or his ‘rents while they lived, would just casually bump into randos going about. They are not doing that all the time, and it’s not like the morning public announcement would say _say_ “HM will set out at sunrise down the upper Glen Haggis trail east to the Mt. Todger cut” ---

Ummm…am I the only one who thought: “What lousy weather! Why would anybody want to go walking or biking on a day like that?” Here’s a slightly longer version of the same video…with a few seconds at the beginning where the cyclists are just starting their day. They step outside for the first time in the morining, look around and say: “Oh! In western Scotland the midges can get _really_ bad in terms of the sheer volume of them. The Wikipedia page above on the Highland midge says that Queen Victoria, contrary to her usual directions, permitted smoking at Balmoral in order to repel the midges. Sounds like things haven’t changed too much since her day. ---
