It’s also worth noting that divorced women were incredibly rare in England until the 19th century; prior to 1857 an absolute divorce required a private act of Parliament. ---

That novel got dated really quickly, given that it was written before Charles and Diana’s marriage fell apart. ---

If I remember correctly they aren’t named in the novel beyond their titles but it’s obviously them. The movie changed it to some fictional English peer. I read it long after the marriage fell apart and it read very weird. The inside information about the Tower was very interesting. All of the Yeoman Warders are retired Regimental Sergeant Majors or equivalent. ---

I can hardly imagine what it’s like for Prince Harry when his wife and father are both taking treatment. Maybe it’s life experience for being a monarch yet I really couldn’t say. ---

And now he’s a US citizen so as long as he’s in the US I will defend his right to make inbreeding jokes in reference to the British royal family. ---
