I like it. It’s non-traditional and, well, _gutsy_. She despised the color red used in a dominant way, just absolutely hated majority red-colored anything. I’d get an earful if I accidentally took her out to lunch wearing a red or reddish shirt which she would consider offensive, that sort of weird bullshit. But in context she despised monarchies (hmmm…maybe it’s genetic) and would have thought the infernal/blood-soaked idea was apropos. ---
