every mainstream U.S. Protestant church has a liberal/leftist component- Presbyterian Church USA, Episcopal Church, United Methodist Church, Evangelical Lutheran Church, United Church of Christ come immediately to mind. A group of religious liberals associated with the National Council of Churches in the US formed the Interfaith Alliance as a counter to Religious Right groups. Basically, the difference- Religious Right emphasize the Judeo-Christian aspects of America’s heritage, ---
