Not that I’m aware of.

I have already explained my view as to why there has been a failure to reach a workable compromise.

The Democrat Party’s ACA/Obamacare is still the law of the land, and it was created, and passed, by the Democrat Party. It appears that some Democrats are attempting to avoid their parties responsibility for the creation of ACA/Obamacare. This law was the Democrat Parties pride and joy. Why run away from it?

Maybe the voters will forget. Maybe they won’t.

The Democrats are embracing it, and based on the polling as of late, so is the public at large. The ACA is as popular as it’s every been, and far more popular than the replacement offered by the Republicans, or Trump himself. The irony is that the Republicans’ effort to repeal and replace it have increased its popularity to the point that it’s probably politically impossible for them to get rid of it.

Are you actually going to provide cites this time? Or should I just take it as fact that you’re lying?

Hahahaha. Every Democrat who tries to hold the Republicans responsible for the Democrat Party’s pride and joy (aka ACA/Obamacare) appears to be attempting to avoid their parties responsibility for the creation of ACA/Obamacare.

In 2018, a major campaign question will be whether or not the Democrat Party can convince the voters that ACA/Obamacare isn’t their fault. _It wasn’t us, it was them. They made us pass that ACA/Obamacare thingy. Honest._ 😃

The ACA is quite popular right now, and Democrats are standing by it and celebrating it, in general. Whatever your uncited info source is, it’s wrong.

Who is doing that? Seriously. Who? Which Democrat is saying that the ACA is bad or that the creation of the ACA is the responsibility of the Republicans? What did he or she say? What “responsibility” is that person trying to avoid?

I don’t actually understand any of your arguments here.

That was one of the big attack lines against Obamacare as it was being crafted, that Congress was going to exempt itself from the law it was passing. It wasn’t really true, but I recall it being effective, at least enough to get them to change it so members and their staff have to get coverage on the exchange.

Honestly, I’m not sure what value having a habitual liar who insists on trying to debate but refuses to do so honestly brings to the forum. If we’re dedicated to fighting ignorance, we should fight ignorance, not lying shitweasle trolls.

Republicans exempt changes to protections for their own insurance from their latest health care proposal:

> The new Republican amendment, introduced Tuesday night, would allow states to waive out of Obamacare’s ban on pre-existing conditions. This means that insurers could once again, under certain circumstances, charge sick people higher premiums than healthy people.
>
> Republican legislators liked this policy well enough to offer it in a new amendment. They do not, however, seem to like it enough to have it apply to themselves and their staff. A spokesperson for Rep. Tom MacArthur (R-N.J.) who authored this amendment confirmed this was the case: members of Congress and their staff would get the guarantee of keeping these Obamacare regulations.

Could these people be any more politically incompetent? This is tailor made for Democratic attack ads and rhetoric – “The Republicans love Obamacare. They love it so much they exempted themselves from changes to the protections it guarantees. They just don’t want you to have the same protections. Democrats want you to have these same protections that Republicans are guaranteeing for themselves.”

Heaven’s no! It was just a typo in drafting. They didn’t mean “Section 1312(d)(3)(D)”, they meant something else (someone will be along shortly to explain what, exactly). Just an innocent mistake that anyone could have made, what with all those levels of parentheses.

It’s a beautiful day. The sun is shining, the birds are singing, and you’re coming across as a sanc·ti·mo·ni·ous asshole. Congratulations.

I’ve explained my position upthread. You are either too lazy, stupid, or pigheaded to understand that. I understand that you may be unable to comprehend a position that does not agree with the standard Democrat groupthink. Sucks to be you.

Just to clarify, anyone who attempts to hold the Republicans responsible for ACA/Obamacare is trying to muddy the water as to who actually created, passed, and signed ACA/Obamacare into law. ACA/Obamacare is still the law of the land. Why would the Democrats want to share the responsibility for such a grand, and wonderful plan, unless they were concerned that the voters were going to punish someone for foisting ACA/Obamacare on the voting public?

Individual claims to the contrary, will a majority of voters reward the creators of ACA/Obamacare in 2018? Or 2020?

As I’ve stated before, the voters have elected Republican representatives who are expected to represent their constituents, their own constituents, instead of marching in lockstep with the various party leaders. Good government is based on voters electing representatives who can reach a working compromise. Currently, the U.S. Congress is made up of many factions who are not willing to compromise. Sucks to be us. Or maybe not.

As to your conclusions, those plus $6 will get you a large moco choco latte la la at the nearest barista infested Caffe shoppe. Yawn.

Yes, the Democrat’s pride and joy, ACA/Obamacare, is still the law of the land. Personally, I see no reason why any Democrat would want to share the responsibility/credit for their grand old plan. Be proud. Stand up for what you believe in. ACA/Obamacare is the responsibility of the Democrat Party. Revel in that fact. What’s the worst that could happen?

Who said it wasn’t? How is that preventing it’s repeal and replacement?
It’s the fault of the GOP that it hasn’t been done.

Considering they had seven years to come up with a plan, that’s a major failure.
