I’m amazed so many people picked Lake Champlain. I grew up on the shores of that lake so I know it well. But I always assumed it wasn’t known outside of its local area.

Somewhat. I have to input all the answers into Excel with cut and paste (which is why formatting is so important!) Then I have to edit all the similar answers so they match each other exactly. Then the program tells me who wins.
I think I know how he does it…but I aint gonna say, cus I use the same method now and then.
One reason might be the campaign of a few years ago to add it to the Great Lakes. Also, it was discovered in the Age of Discovery.

I lived in Vermont (about 40 miles from the Lake) when I was a kid, and upstate NY when I was a High Schooler and I had never heard of “Champ” until a few years ago when I saw a special on it on The National Geographic channel (or Discovery). My father even owns land on the lake.
I almost answered Lake Champlain but I thought Carribean Sea would get more matches. yes, I am a Feud whore, pimping my heritage for more points.
Apropros of nothing: I really, really wanted to answer “Lake Pontchartain” for Question #7 as a kind of a meta-joke, but I could not in good conscience deliberately put the wrong answer.
