I have been watching ‘Midnight Mass’ on Netflix. Spoiler, it is about Priest who is attacked by a vampire while visiting the Holy Lands. He thinks the vampire is an Angel. He smuggles the vampire home and starts infecting his congregation with vampire blood. He lets a few churchies in on his plan, they buy into it, hook, line and sinker. They think they are doing ‘God’s’ work. Jesus’ blood, resurrections and all that. Yes, the comparison is clear. They are morons. ---

All about government not telling you what to do or messing with your freedom. I mean the southern states were all about freedom except for slaves.
