So Abbott is OK with murder. He’d just mad that they’d be _charged_ with murder. This is what you have to look forward to if Trump is elected; State sanctioned murder squads. When politicians tell you that they will start murdering people given the chance… believe them. ---

They really don’t think of these people trying to get asylum as people. You don’t separate people from their kids, you don’t joke about murdering them if you’re an elected official, you don’t stick them on a bus and move them to some random place just to troll the libs – not if you consider them fully human. ---

They don’t and they never have. If given the opportunity they’d practice forced sterilization (which they actually have already done this in a small way) camps, etc. all of it. I’m sure if they could tag them and put them in chains they’d love to have them work, for free. You know? ---

His explanation was that he was asked about where the legal lines are, so he mentioned something clearly illegal. Except the way he said it makes it sound like that is an option he wishes he could pursue. But then we pretty much knew murder was ok by his razor wire and barricade policy. “What’s a few people downing because they are caught in razor wire? It’s not like we’re shooting them.” ---

This is probably not a perfect fit for the thread, since the perpetrator is but it isn’t worth starting a new thread, and this is probably the best place for it. The Baltimore Sun an excellent paper which has won 16 Pulitzer prizes has been bought by David D. Smith, executive chairman of the Sinclair broadcasting, the evil corporation is that trying to buy up all local news and turn them into a [homoginized far right cheerleaders](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aGIYU2Xznb4). Smith is reported as saying he dislikes and fundamentally distrusts print media. He said the industry is so left wing as to be meaningless and that accounts for its decline, and according to [NPR](https://www.npr.org/2024/01/16/1225023127/the-baltimore-sun-has-been-sold-to-a-conservative-broadcast-chief) despite living in the area for decades says he’s only read the paper about 4 times. She’s also highly critical of the completely amateur operations and no connections with law enforcement. ---

This sucks. My father worked at the Sun for almost 40 years, and I hate to see this happening to a once great paper. Sinclair is the spawn of the devil and has been on my Destroyers of Democracy themed death pool list for years. My home town has more than its share of problems, including perennially corrupt (usually Democratic) leaders. It doesn’t need its main paper turning into a Trump mouthpiece. ---
