There is also the fact that MAGA would have and probably immediately did claim that these people are actors, that it’s a fake ad. Everything they don’t like is fake, don’t you know. ---

Yeah, a public endorsement/testimonial is kind of weak if you can’t show the person(s) making it really are who you claim they are. Though there is such a thing as not saying more than you need. “Mr & Mrs McGopface, business owners in BFE” should be sufficient though it would only delay finding them by maybe minutes. ---

No, not snarky at all. I guess I’m just sad for our times. (I just showed my students the astounding film _The Act of Killing,_ which documents two Indonesian men who, in the 1960s, were among the many local leaders encharged by the national government with massacring suspected “communists,” ethnic Chinese, and others (with the US’s gratitude). Because the country has never come to terms with this history – indeed, over-the-top anti-communist fervor persists – the two men, enraptured by Hollywood dreams, eagerly restage the killings for the documentarian. The film’s events are eerily familiar right now. No one in it says exactly that “they’re eating the dogs,” but you can feel it, right there.) ---

Sorry to double-post, but this is just so out-there and creepy I had to share it as well since it’s my home state. I can’t think of very many reasons why this is a good idea. I’ve seen a sign for the Independence Law Center before I knew what they were about, and the name always seemed carefully nondescript. [Here is a gift link to a piece from today’s Washington Post.](https://wapo.st/4ewvdox) In it, some of the findings of Jack Smith’s lengthy brief are not just stated, but are explicitly tied to specific individuals whose names just may ring a bell or two. It is a satisfying read knowing that many of the lead characters in this farce will soon be guests of the government. ---

It’s not a ubiquitous arrangement by any means, but I’ve seen it enough that it isn’t that remarkable. And if you think about it for a bit, you realize this solves _all kinds_ of problems. ---

I’ve seen similar arrangements with stalls being full walls and maybe the door having a few inches gap at the bottom. It’s not common, but I like it. But walls take up space, and many places are squeezing in as many places as they can in a 10 ft x 10 ft closet. Recently partition kits have started including gap panels that cover the seams and overlap the door gap. It’s a real improvement for still using partition kits. ---

Well, it looks like Patton’s plan was implemented. It just took a bit longer than he wanted. First Germany had to be defeated and reformed, and _then_ it could be rebuilt to aid us against Russia.
