Yeah, they keep peeking their heads out to sniff the air. As long as the right wing media and their voters don’t offer any pushback, they’ll begin to cease all circumspection. The message they’re hearing so far is that “it’s ok as long as it keeps Democrats out of power.” What’s more worrisome is that we don’t seem to be conveying the dangers adequately to Dem-leaning voters. I think a huge majority of them believe that since the institutions prevailed last time, they will do so again. And they’re not noticing that Republican legislatures are intent on subverting the institutions in such a way that Democrats can’t win. ---
