But it is generally _discouraged_ in other forums. Just like it is discouraged at the grocery stare as opposed to the sports bar (another place where Evil is obvious - it wears a Astros uniform!) ---

You’re absolutely right. Any voter who knew that Wilhoite was accused of murdering his wife and still voted for him is a jackass of the first order. I just wonder how many people did know that. It’s a small local office, one of those where maybe you’ve seen the candidate’s name on a yard sign, and that’s about it. And there are exactly as many candidates as there are spots to fill, so you don’t even really have a choice to make. Fill in all three ovals and move on. Indiana has plenty of lousy Republican politicians–Mike Braun, Victoria Spartz, or my very own Congressman, Greg Pence, to name three. I will gladly join the condemnation of anyone voting for them. I will also join in the condemnation of Wilhoite voters, if it turns out that they know who he is and still want him. Based on current evidence, though, I think it’s more likely that people voted for the guy on the ballot without knowing a thing about him. ---

Nobody lost. There were three seats open and he was one of three Republicans running so they all won. He would have won with just one vote (he got 60, btw). ---
