Ya gotta love Lennie Dykstra — Mr. “Steroids Good, Vaccines Bad”. This is a guy that a judge ruled was essentially impossible to defame. Wikipedia: _Dykstra attempted to sue Darling for defamation in April 2020 but the case was dismissed on June 1, 2020, with the judge citing Dykstra’s documented reputation as being “among other things, racist, misogynist and anti-gay, as well as a sexual predator, a drug-abuser, a thief and an embezzler” as the reason._ ---

It’s an ongoing problem that is getting addressed constantly. COVID sent us a real curve ball. A lot of our short term rental stuff now has the owner living there full time since many people can work from anywhere. ---

It’s relatively common for local authorities to bus migrants to other places. Usually, though (until the recent spate of Republican spite), it’s to places the people already have at least some connection to, there’s coordination with someone on the other end, and the people being bused know what’s going on. It’s still based on NIMBY, of course, and a desire to get rid of one’s problems by making them someone else’s problem, but it’s not nearly as evil as what DeSantos and Abbott are doing. What they’re doing, however, has significantly changed the optics, hence presumably why Colorado is stopping. ---

One of their points is to overwhelm and discredit the system that others used, with the aim to deny any alternative other than “kick them back over the river”. ---
