He was at least in his 40s, but he was carrying on like a spoiled child. What a butthead!!! Even in the crumbled state, it hinted at an impressive castle. We read a bunch of plaques and took a lot of pictures, and climbed a LOT – it was a really hilly site. Halfway up to the visitor center where we were to catch our bus, there was a replica of a trebuchet. It was built in 1998, but near as I could tell, it was an accurate recreation. Because, you know, I’m such an expert on trebuchets. They did have authentic stone balls that had been flung by the original trebuchets – them things could do a bunch of damage – they were bigger than basketballs. Oh yeah, and there were a lot of ducks all over the place. > > When we finally got up to the visitor center, we had some great views of the castle ruins and the loch. Naturally, my camera decided its battery needed a rest, so I used Mom’s camera for the rest of the day. I’ll charge mine overnight. Anyway, we had to visit the gift shop where I bought myself a necklace, plus a birthday present for my baby who turns 29 on the 5th. We looked around for anything else we couldn’t live without, Mom got her fridge magnet and a couple of little things. Then we went to watch a film about the castle. They told the story of the 1000 years of the castle in 8 minutes. It involved a lot of fighting and some explosions and the final destruction was in 16-something, so it’s over 400 years since it was a castle. > > There was more climbing to get to the car park where the coaches awaited. She said the guy had come back to pick up his meds later that night and wanted to know who called him an asshole. That gave me a bit of a giggle. Fifteen more days, I hope I can make it that long. ---

Sounds like you and OYKW are having a virtual borgasmord tonight, **swampy**. I cleaned the veggies out in the fridge tonight by making ratatouille. It wes served with pan grilled tomato basil sausage and a fresh peach for dessert. Now, it’s working some more on my current studio project. ---

I’m tellin’ ya, **Sari** , move out quietly then come back a few days later as if nothing happened but muttering about how much you hate lockup but don’t say any more. Call your niece two days later to see what sis said…& of course, report all to us! 😉 I needed a pen for something & having nowhere else to put it, put it in my rear pocket, where it of course decided to break/leak…thru the pocket of my jeans & onto the car seat. The intertubes state to use rubbing alcohol & a towel to get it out of upholstery, which works. It worked so well, I tried it on the jeans before turning the whole washer blue. I was wearing a pair of shorts & put them in my lap. Despite not using much alcohol, it was enough that some of the ink bled thru to what was underneath. I now have “Smurf shit” on my leg. :smack: Off to the shower with me. ---

Happy Firday! I didn’t sleep so well last night so I feel a tremendous amount of blurf. It’s a sunny 73 degrees with a high of 88 predicted. It’s kind of humid as well. I got my little bitty pay today, it’s a sad amount. Two more weeks, 14 days. I like your idea **Spidey**. It would give me a good giggle. I’m still trying to work out the logistics of moving. I think I need to just give up on the idea of sneaking out without telling anybody, somebody will surely be here to see me moving stuff out and run their mouth. **Swampy** that idea makes me think of the old priceless commercials. Afternoon all! I am now de-stickied, and have purtified properly for the first time this week! It’s very nice to be able to put down the ‘unclean’ bell. All the test showed was that I’m allergic to nickel, which I already kind of knew. Oh well. At least it removed a lot of other possibilities. I have no plans for the rest of the day; I have no irk (again) this weekend, so I may try spend as much time as possible making felt things, 'cos I ain’t done much for a bit, and they’re about sold out. I did get a few hours doing parking stuff at a wimmin’s football match last night, which was thrilling, I assure you, but that’s really not enough money to live on. Oh well, hopefully summat will come up soon, I have one proper interview and a phone one next week. **Sari** , if they’re going to notice anyway, why not hire a large group of attractive and preferably shirtless muscly young men to carry your stuff. Get them to carry you out in a palanquin, and have some just with palm fronds, fanning you. Make it look like you’re eloping with an entire harem, and everyone will be too confused and intimidated to ask anything. ---

Storage locker - load into your twuck when no one’s home & move a little at a time into storage locker, then move all from there at once.
