Please see the advent of anti-Jew propaganda in Germany 1929-1935. First, you paint them all the same, then you assert that they are, somehow, opposed to your National Ideals. Then you can round them up under the guise of “Protecting the Country”. Trump et. al.'s anti-Muslim rhetoric is fundamentally more hateful than the anti-Japanese backlash in 1942 - that was instant and based on ‘they can’t be trusted’ more than ‘each and every one wants to kill all of you’. This is going to get much uglier before it gets better. Trump is feeding the Jihad a steady stream of “See - America really DOES hate all of you” fodder. ---

Erhm no. Anti-Japanese sentiment in 1942 actually resulted in internment camps and was applied to citizens as well as aliens of Japanese ethnicity-meanwhile the Trump campaign (however grudgingly) has admitted the rights of citizen Muslims. ---
