Ok - here’s the deal. I have missed _every single frickin’_ one of these things and I want to do it, baby! Birmingham seems to be a pretty central place for people in the area. I don’t want fancy dinner or expensive stuff, just going out to the clubs or a bar would be fine. Who’s with me? I can’t hear you!! **Who’s with me???** I get on the boards at work and don’t always have access over the weekend so take the weekend to think it over and maybe we can cook something up. I’m game. I somehow manage to miss them every single time, too. May I suggest the weekend of April 3-4? It’s around the suggested time frame and well after **Nocturne’s** birthday. ---

Hey, I’m game, but I would really prefer an April slot. I’ve got way too much going on the next three weekends. Birmingham or T-town is fine by me, although Birmingham is closer. Doesn’t really matter, though. ---

Why not meet somewhere for dinner first, so that any under 21 Dopers are able to join us? We could eat together, then anyone who wants to go clubbing could do so. There are plenty of good restaurants in Bham, and I’m sure Tuscaloosa has them as well. And I think it’s an established fact that we Dopers love to eat (probably almost as much as we love to drink!). ---

Sounds good - April 3 it is. Let’s eat in Southside and then we can go out. Any suggestions? The Mill, Surin West, 11th Ave. (not so keen on this one but it does have a back room) or Mellow Mushroom for really casual. Ther are nicer ones but I’m guessing we’re not a group of Rockerfellers so I’m not even suggesting Bottega. ---

Sounds great. Did I hear a few months ago that The Mill was closing, though? Maybe I dreamed it, but we might want to check. I like Surin West (that’s Thai food, for those who don’t know) but if ya’ll think of someplace better I’m all for it. Mellow Mushroom is good too, but might be a little crowded for a Dopefest. ---

_BUMP_ I have learned that **Sauron** and I are going to be virtually childless Saturday night so if this is still a go then we are in. I’m not sure where we are on restaurant suggestions…I saw a thread yesterday where Dreamland was being tossed about? Our house is open if you guys would rather grill out or have a more casual type deal. We live in Alabaster. I know it’s pricey but if anyone would want to try dinner at The Club we are members there. Great view. Fun atmosphere. Who is definitely in for this? Thanks **Rez** for staying on top of this and trying to get it going. 🙂 ---
