After some though I’ve decided to create a new game based on Hart’s list with clarified rules. I request the mods to close the old one.

In accordance with **Left Hand of Darkness** suggestions the new rule is the net negative\>positive influence criteria for voting for elimination. Also the top three vote-getters will be eliminated every Wednesdays and Sundays starting this Wednesday.

Curtis, you should just ask for people to vote on influence period. If you put any moral value such as positive and negative influence into it, I predict you’re just going to have a repeat of the other thread.

“Influential” does not have any _per se_ positive or negative connotation, so it makes no sense to impose one. If you’re looking for whoever had the most _positive_ net influence on humanity, then say that. Don’t just say “influential.”
I honestly can’t see how this is any different from the other thread. Obviously fictonal characters can’t be considered, so they have to be removed immediately.
After that, I’m going to say that Jesus should go first as having the most negative net influence on humanity (albeit mostly indirectly and unintentionally).

I object to Jesus’s description as “Son of God, Savior of Mankind.” Although I personally believe that, and I assume you do, it’s unprovable and most people responding to this thread would probably reject it. “Founder of Christianity” is better, although even that is agruable. I think you need to use neutral descriptions for everyone.
Still I’m going to sit this one out as it’s bound to devolve into Jesus-bashing as the other one did.
