Riots are turbulent, there are multiple factions. Illegal acts are committed by rioters, like property destruction and shooting people. There are two sides - officials like police and rioters. ---

The trial has produced some incredible photos. Some are captures from video. There was a still photographer out there too. He testified a couple days ago. The video evidence cleared Kyle. He’s seen earlier moving around the crowd. Not causing trouble and offering medical aid. He cleaned racist graffiti from a school earlier that day. This guy has never been identified. It’s a thread about a trial. This is testimony from the trial. Showing self defense. Rittenhouse has been kicked twice, whacked with a skateboard twice and defended himself from the ground. Given the circumstances its quite surprising no innocent people were injured. The only people shot were attacking the defendant. ---

Can someone who thinks there’s video evidence of Rosenbaum grabbing the barrel of the AR-15 please link to it? I had been avoiding watching the linked videos, but I finally did to see for myself, and I can’t make it out. I’m wondering if there’s something clearer out there that people are referring to. ---

The best evidence is testimony from the reporter (Richie McGinnis) . He jumps to avoid being directly in the line of fire. McGinnis had just stopped taping and didn’t capture the shot. There’s also the FBI aerial video showing the figures running in the parking lot. The prosecutor marks the figures to identify them. ---

I thought people said they could see Rosenbaum grab the barrel or grab for the barrel of the AR-15. The FBI footage shows that Rosenbaum was chasing Rittenhouse, but they’re basically labeled dots in the footage I’ve seen. The other footage - from a drone, I think - I can’t see Rosenbaum do that. I’m wondering if it’s different footage people are referring to? Or, from what you said in your post, maybe I’ve misunderstood what people were basing their conclusions on. ---

Richie McGinnis testimony describes what happened. I don’t think there’s any video of the 1st shooting. The best video is in this in this interview with Richie McGinnis. He said the same thing at the trial. Again, did KR have a legitimate fear for his life because Rosenbaum lunged for his rifle to disarm him. Maybe the jury can make a valid judgement, but it’s a leap to say that it was clear Rosenbaum was trying to take the rifle to murder KR. If you were in that crowd, a good case can be made that there was an active shooter. Because, well, there was an active shooter. Whether that first shooting gets ruled self defense or not, members of the crowd heard and/or saw someone get shot, and the perp running away. Now whether those in the crowd that perceived it to be an active shooter should have pursued KR or not is a different story. And, again, did KR have a legitimate belief that the crowd was trying to murder him vs disarm an active shooter. KR may be found not guilty, but he certainly is not innocent.
