On a lighter note, I crushed some snails for the aquarium Red Cherry Shrimp.
They were almost like zombies rushing over in crowds to eat them.

Good evening all from State College, PA where I am digesting a grand meal from The Tavern, a local well known restaurant.
Arrived at work before 10am this morning, loaded into the sat truck, fired up the generator for 25 minutes while I got my stuff together, everything tested out fine. I left for PA around 11am.
Four hours later I arrived at the courthouse in Bellefonte, PA where Sandusky will be sentenced tomorrow. I parked the truck, fired up the generator again and walked away to meet my crew and develop a plan. I walked back a few minutes later just in time to hear to 10kw deisel Onan go _pleh_ and die. I open up the back of the truck and I kept seeing two flashes on the diagnostic - low oil pressure. I fart around with it a few minutes but quickly call it; too much for me to troubleshoot.
So I call the station: whatchawantmetodo? I get some indecision in return, so while I wait I look up Onan repair shops and it turns out there is one eight minutes away. I call and the tech, Roy, who is about to head out, agrees to stick around for a few minutes if I want to run over. So blast over their and a half hour later we determine the oil pressure sensor is shot, though there is no actual generator damage. Further investigation proves the generator runs fine without it hooked up.
So management approves my play to risk no sensor for a day, we button up the truck again, pay the man $200, then head to the hotel and then dinner. Weāll be on the road 7am tomorrow to get the story done, and we should be good to go.
Adventures in TVā¦
So at this place called the Tavern they have a daily changing menu. Also every entree can have as many of the sides in as much quantity as you wish. I started with shrimp cocktail, then I had a bleu cheese encrusted sirloin, salad, corn, snap peas and applesauce, then finish it off with ādouble chocolate cakeā.
I am about to burst.
Re: the op - I cant even begin to think of all the the other roads I could have taken, I donāt think that way. Iāve fucked up plenty but I am too naturally happy to care. Iāve enjoyed my life, I will fuck up more, and I will enjoy more. Sooner or later I will die and the world will continue just fine without me.
With the clarity of hindsight I can only say I might have risked more, and I should have been more picky / less ready to believe the words of some who I fell in love with. But that would change who I am, and I donāt want to do that.
So fuck it - allās good. Brave new world ahead.
With a belly full of cake and steak.

**Tugig** , make sure to buy some cotton candy &/or a light-up toy tomorrow as that is what one does at the circus. Just saw the statement he released; yup, itāll be a circus tomorrow.
Whatās the line about if you donāt open your mouth, people will wonder if youāre a fool; however, if you do open it, people will know youāre a fool? Way to be contrite the _night before_ being sentenced Jer.
As for the OP; better choice in colleges. I transferred after 2 years to a school that had a good reputation as a co-op school. Big, huge, awful mistake! I realized this early enough after being there, but thought that if I transferred again, 3 universities to graduate wouldnāt look good & I only had one more year to suck it up. It was a significant part of my decision to go to grad school - so that when people asked where I went to school I wouldnāt have to utter their name.

Mmm, fish fry!! I sure miss me some smelt fry-ups, would give a lot for one of those. š
But some other time; right now mah belly is full of spanakopita, and I do pronounce it a success! Hadnāt made one in at least a decade, and I changed a few things, and it still came out awesome. Added sausage, lots of Cavenderās seasoning, used queso fresca instead of feta, and, my biggest worry, I used butter-flavored spray.
Guess what? That spray worked GREAT and was SO much easier than splotching melted butter everywhere. It is AWESOME for this kind of thing, and the taste is no different. Though said taste may be buried under all the other yummy flavors in there anyway.
Now off to tummy-full sleep. š
p.s. I have no idea why this is all centered like this, but I like it!

Wow - roads not taken. Very interesting topic, **Alien**. BTW, did you see that Michael OāHare passed away about a week ago? He was Sinclair on Babylon 5. Also, just a few months older than I. ā¹
I can think of several times - if I had gone on an āexchangeā program with my parents and younger brothers in the summer of 1960, would anything have happened differently? Also in the mid-70s, I was in a religious cult for about 4 years, and ended up leaving. My life would definitely have been much much different if I had stayed, I believe. No, it wasnāt a doomsday cult, but I definitely would have had a totally different life, I think. Re the summer of 1960, that was when my Dad had a full blown affair with another man that ultimately led to the disintegration of my parents marriage. I did not go on the vacation/minister exchange trip with them, I stayed with my maternal grandparents. I was nearly 8. I think my Dad was in love with the man and was going to leave the family. It was 17 years, though, before the marriage was finally over. Traumatic experience all around. Road not taken, for sure.

I think my first mistake was being born in 1962 to a mother who didnāt want another baby and a father who tended to be overweight. I think if I were genetically skinny so I could eat whatever I want then maybe the constant reminders that I suck wouldnāt bother me so much.

My whole life is about roads not taken. Iām not going there.
I had two, count 'em, two dreams to report this morning.
#1 involved Escaping From The Imminent Volcanic Eruption. I guess that it was technically a nightmare, but it played in my head as a cheesy 1970s disaster flick, complete with the standard cliches, and I was the hero protagonist. š I donāt consider dreams to be nightmares unless they truly scare me, and that is a very rare occurence.
#2 was much more scary. Because I had won the season for _The Biggest Loser_, I was now enough of a celebrity to be a competitor on _Dancing With The Stars_. I had several groupies to console me, FWIW.
I must irk, and will soon find out when my multi-week trip to the Left Coast is rescheduled.

Iāve got [rainymood.com](http://rainymood.com) running in the background, and it makes me happy.
I am struggling with my mood, and itās beginning to take a toll. Iām not ready to say itās depression, but I sure am having a lot of stress and anxiety over not a whole lot. Today after work, Iām going to restart Medi-Fast, as thatās the one weight loss program Iāve actually succeeded at. I think Iāll also see if I canāt get in for a massage. That should help a lot.
