Well, I’m frustrated. I girded my loins and went over to the local MediFast office. Why? Because it’s the only organization I’ve ever joined that I’ve been able to lose a significant amount of weight - nearly 50 pounds. Plus, I kept it off for more than a year. (Then life happened, and the weight went splat, splat, splat back on.) Trouble is, my mom paid for the program fees last time. I was only aware of the weekly cost of food. So here I was all ready to sign up, and they hit me with the program fees. $2000 When I started breathing again, I calculated and figured I could pay the $500 downpayment with my FSA card (because the weight loss is medically necessary), and then they tell me, “we don’t accept FSA cards”. **FFFFFFFUUUUUUUU…** Really, the only way I can pull this off is to ask my mom for help (that’s a second-to-last option). I could just purchase the food online, but heck, if I’m going to do that, I might as well actually write my own lesson plan and eat healthy. Which also brings me to wonder, what the hell good is an FSA card when half the medical stuff I need to spend money on isn’t covered? Plus, any unused balance goes _poof_ at the end of the calendar year, so now I have to come up with new and interesting ways to spend money I had planned on spending on stuff I now can’t afford. I’ll be over there banging my head against the wall. ---

FSA cards are a scam. I wonder where the fudge that money goes that you don’t use? I was looking at our finances and we may have to go back on Food Stamps after the bebe is born…suck ☹ ---

I only did FSA once and it was a pain in the patoot, so I dropped it. Especially once they changed it so that you can’t use it for OTC items. It wasn’t worth the 12 cents it saved me in income taxes. Hot Hot Hot job maybe isn’t so hot after all. The engineer in Yuma doesn’t think he’ll be able to get anything else to me till tomorrow. I’m off tomorrow, and I told him I’d be back on Monday - he’s good with that. So much for the panic. :rolleyes: Back to work with me now. ---

I haz an FSA and I loff the thing. I use 50% of it in January on glasses and contacts, then spend the rest on pharmaceuticals. Pharmaceuticals repscribed by my doctor, of course. Today is 10-11-12 which makes me smile. I’m also smiling because I’m leaving irk in 2 hours and am going on VACAY tomorrow. elebenty one!!!11!! ---

**phouka** , can you pay the $500, then submit it to your FSA for reimbursement? Maybe borrow the $$$ from a family member or friend? But first make sure the FAS will reimburse you. Things have changed since Obama-care. **Nooner** , check your calendar. It’s Tocktober which is the 10th month. It’s the 11th, and the year is 2012. ---

Howdy Y’all from da cave. I came home a bit early cause I have to leave in a while to go to an “emergency meeting” of the WorkForce Investment Board of which I am a member by virtue of irk. I can deal with every other month meetin’s but this “emergency” stuff, ick. Anywho since I get to travel to large and in charge Camilla, Jawja for a six o’clock p.m. meetin’ I’m takin’ some time to unlax now. Stoopid meetin’. In other news, I emailed YP (for those who don’t know YP is Young Priest, my Priest, so named ‘cause he’s a mere child of 34) a little while ago concernin’ the upcomin’ fish fry. I told him our resident fisherman had already told me he had enough fish to “feed the five thousand.” I then wrote, “Hey, if he thinks two fish are enough, who am I to question.” YP answered back with “??? Two fish???” I replied, “Think about it and when it dawns on you I think I’ll need to take a look at your Divinity Degree to make sure you didn’t buy it online.” He replied back, “Doh! I get it now. Oh and my degree came from the purtiest website I could find.” Have I mentioned how much I lurve havin’ a smartass Priest? 😃 ---

Just help sign a million+ a year client. I am very happy. It was a good day! (All while in my jammies on the couch eating cookies :D). I didn’t get a nap today, but this was worth it. Now I am craving honey bunches of oats. ---

Congrats, **Apes**! You should definitely go get honey bunches of oats and eat the whole box, dry, num num num num! Today here is beautiful: blue skies, brisk cool wind, won’t get over 80, if that high, AC totally off, doors open…and all I want to do is take a nap, lol! Preferably in a hammock, outside. With a blanket and pillow, 'cause I like my comfies like that. ---
