Wow. After the first they started to slide (how can you top that Burger King line?) and I was getting worried that you were running out of steam, but wow! Certainly the most Ron story yet. I’ll be back tomorrow. ---

I realize that some of the Ron stories are weaker than others - but they become contextual - you kind of need them to be able to comprehend the wholeness that is Ron. Plus, I’m having to dig back through from about 5 years ago. I think I’ve got a picture of Ron somewhere in a box - but I often think the myth can supercede the man. ---

When my “Uncle Ron” was fooling around with his ex while his current girlfriend was doing his laundry and watching his kid–turns out that he and the ex were actually _trying for another baby_ because they thought it would save their relationship. This is getting metaphysical…I wonder if there is an essential Ron-ness binding them all together. ---

I have to post so I can be subsribed, but as it turns out, I have a couple of Ron stories myself. At work, we sometimes use our lunch break to watch movies in the break room. One day, we were watching some movie (I think it was Drillbit Taylor), and C-Ron walks in just as Owen Wilson’s character says “This ain’t my first rodeo”, pronouncing it like you would assume (Roh-dee-oh). C-Ron says “You know, they always say it wrong in the movies”. We are all slightly confused, and ask him what he means. “Well, it’s pronounced Roh-day-oh” We spend the rest of the lunch hour trying to explain that words can be said multiple ways and that roh-dee-oh is how most people say it. To this day, whenever someone pronounces a word wrong, we say “I know how it’s supposed to be said! This ain’t my first roh-day-oh.” There’s more Ron-ny things he does, but he tends to be a Ron-duh himself too. He’s the whole package. My sister married a Ron for a while too. They got divorced after he threatened to shoot himself (in front of their daughters) because she wanted to have a trial separation. She’s definately a Ron-duh. ---
