The rotten tree fell on the house,

The video looked like the trunk was off the house so it was only the canopy you had to deal with but since it’s a rental You should grab a hand saw and use it to punch in the phone number of the owner.

Tree man came and chopped it all up, evidently the landlord is bringing a truck or a chipper to get rid of the brush.

Most damage is to the gutters maybe a little roof damage to the porch.

Now all I have to do is talk the man into getting him back to down the rest of that tree. Looks like the core of the root system is rotted badly.

So, anyone got anything that will talk the landlord into not waiting for the rest to fall naturally??

There is the possibility part of it could hit the neighbor’s garage.

If it is obviously rotted out and it causes injury I wouldn’t want to be the landlord.

Can’t watch the video at work… is there a chance it would hit your house if it fell? If I owned the house I certainly wouldn’t want to take that chance.

The video shows a portion of the tree already fallen upon the house. It also sheds a bit of insite into the OP’s personal life, relationship with his father, and provides an opportunity to critique his videography skills.

Maybe you can get the neighbor in on it. After all, it is his garage it would fall on and I bet he wouldn’t like that.

Snowpocalypse brought down a lot of trees my apartment complex. Most of them fell on people’s cars, including my roommate’s. Management took care of getting rid of the trees (6-7 around my building alone), but AFAIK they didn’t do anything for the car owners.

I had originally been parked in the space my roommate took. The night before the storm, I thought, “Parking under a tree when there’s 2 feet of snow on the way might be a bad idea” and moved my car around back. Fortunately her car only suffered minor scratches and dents. Some other ones really got hit.
